Module learning aims: | Students familiar with novel trends in Ethics concentrated around freedom, justice and dialogue. Students familiar with state of arts in contemporary Ethics and research in Ethics. Contents refer to research experience and expertise of the lecturers. Globally significant, intercultural and universal topical issues are discussed. |

A theory justice vs. a theory of injustice (Introduction) Contemporary ethics & philosophy of dialogue Victimology Freedom vs. liberation Philosophy of revolt The culture of memory Empathy Values, norms and ethics theories are not everything. Why we need moral competence, decision making and discourse improvement Sociality visualized Contemporary challenges across borders and cultures (A): Hospitality, cosmopolitanism, planetary responsibility Contemporary challenges across borders and cultures (B): Basic needs & high-tech Analytical and non-analytical ethics: an unnecessary split discussed on the basis of the moral action definition Collecting & discussing students' essays |
