(in Polish) C1 Przekazanie studentom najważniejszych informacji na temat dramatu i teatru epoki elżbietańskiej i okresu panowania Jakuba I w Anglii.

C2 Przekazanie studentom najważniejszych informacji na temat praktyk teatralnych epoki wczesno nowożytnej w Anglii.

C3 Przekazanie wiedzy na temat najważniejszych dzieł, twórców i procesów w angielskim dramacie wczesnej epoki nowożytnej.

C4 Rozwinięcie umiejętności rozpoznawania odniesień historycznych i kulturowych w literaturze i kulturze krajów anglojęzycznych.

C5 Dostarczenie studentom podstawowego nazewnictwa i terminologii z zakresu teatrologii i literaturoznawstwa w języku angielskim.

C6 Rozwinięcie umiejętności korzystania z literatury przedmiotu.

(in Polish) Umieszczanie na platformie Moodle materiałów z zajęć oraz linków i dodatkowych pomocy w zakresie poszczególnych tematów.

(in Polish) Podstawowym kryterium jest wystarczająco wysoki poziom znajomości j. angielskiego (przynajmniej poziom B2 lub C1). Ponadto wymagana jest podstawowa wiedza z dziedziny teatru i dramatu (na poziomie szkoły średniej).

· Projekcja i analiza filmów historycznych oraz dokumentalnych.

· Dyskusja na temat fragmentów sztuk i filmów.

· Prezentacje studenckie.

· Wprowadzenia w postaci mini-wykładów prezentowane przez wykładowcę.

This course will give students the most important information about drama and theatre during the Elisabethan and Jacobean rule in England. The students will get acquainted with the most important works, playwrights and processes of the period. They will also be introduced to the key theatrical terms relevant to the period in question, they will get some basic knowledge as to the major playhouses created during that period as well as their structure and stage practices employed. During this course students will also have a chance to analyse the most important dramatic works of the period, including these of Christopher Marlowe, William Shakespeare, Ben Johnson as well as some anonymous plays of the epoch.

Credits will be awarded on the basis of class participation and a written test.
