  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;

The object of the course is introducing students to issues relating to Korean culture in terms of tradition and modern with a special focus on religion, philosophy, society, arts including painting and music.

Podstawowe informacje i terminologia z zakresu kultury tradycyjnej

Podstawowe informacje i terminologia z zakresu kultury nowoczesnej

Zagadnienia tematyczne: Wstęp do wiedzy o kulturze (pojęcia). Buddyzm. Taoizm. Konfucjanizm. Tradycyjne społeczeństwo koreańskie. Szamanizm. Obrzędy Muzyka tradycyjna – instrumentologia, pieśni. Teatr i tańce dworskie oraz ludowe. Tradycyjne malarstwo. Tradycyjna architektura oraz rzemieślnictwo. Kaligrafia i literatura – sijo i hanja.

*Kultura współczesna: Wstęp do kultury nowoczesnej. Edukacja w Korei. Kuchnia. Etykieta w życiu codziennym. Etykieta biznesowa. Kultura Internetu młodych Koreańczyków. Fenomen gier. Muzyka współczesna.

Learning outcomes:

Students can comment on the topics discussed during lectures, can relate statements in the scope of the terminology to historical facts and oral statement transfers. Know cultural aspects of Korea and the culture of this country. Can reach out to other sources of knowledge of the topic. Is able to answer to the issues raised.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Methods: The evaluation of extra-curricular objectives, written or oral final exam, written semester credit.
