Course aim: A1 level proficiency in the Polish language.

Year 1

Lecture with a multimedia presentation, interactive lecture, problem-based lecture, discussions, text-based work, problem-based learning, educational simulation/game, task - solving learning, experiental work, workshop method, project work, demonstration and observation, sound and/or video demonstration, creative methods, group work.

Course learning content:

- mastering the linguistic skills required for A1 proficiency level,

- vocabulary for A1 proficiency level,

- grammar for A1 proficiency level.

Reading list will be given by lecturers.

On successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:

- understand single sentence,

- recognize and use grammatically correct forms without hindering the communication process,

- understand short simple text,

- use Polish to communicate in typical everyday situations and take part in conversation employing politeness strategies by the interlocutors,

- edit short texts using the principal rules of grammatical correctness.

Assessment criteria:

very good (bdb; 5,0): a very good command of Polish at A1 proficiency level according to the detailed syllabus.

good plus (+db; 4,5): a very good command of Polish (with minor flaws) at A1 proficiency level according to the detailed syllabus.

good (db; 4,0): a good command of Polish at A1 proficiency level according to the detailed syllabus.

satisfactory plus (+dst; 3,5): a satisfactory command of Polish at A1 proficiency level according to the detailed syllabus.

satisfactory (dst; 3,0): very basic communication skills in Polish at A1 proficiency level according to the detailed syllabus.

unsatisfactory (ndst; 2,0): a lack of skills to use Polish at A1 proficiency level according to the detailed syllabus.
